The brief

A K-beauty inspired skincare brand needed a Shopify storefront that captured the regimen-led buying behaviour of its audience — shoppers tend to buy in routines, not single SKUs, and the storefront had to channel that without forcing a “buy them all” upsell.

What we did

  • Built the storefront from scratch on Shopify with a theme that leans into the soft, glassy product photography rather than fighting it with heavy UI chrome.
  • Built a routine-builder quiz that surfaces a recommended set based on skin type and concern, feeding the answers straight into a pre-filled cart.
  • Bundle merchandising on PDPs: each product page surfaces the “frequently bought together” routine partners without obscuring the primary product.
  • Ingredient transparency layouts that explain the actives in plain language, with deeper chem detail one accordion away.

Key decisions

  • Routine-first merchandising changes the conversion model. We optimised for higher AOV through routine bundles rather than for one-product hero conversions.
  • We held off on a heavy review platform at this stage — Judge.me free tier earns trust without the ongoing app spend that pulls margin from a small brand.
