The brief

Brand Samsara is a multi-brand luxury boutique carrying fashion, bags, jewelry, clutches, totes, and accessories from a curated roster of designer labels. The catalogue is wide, the price points are high, and the buyer comes in expecting an editorial experience — not a generic ecom grid.

What we did

  • Rebuilt the storefront on Shopify Plus to support brand-first navigation alongside the standard category structure, so shoppers can browse by designer label as easily as by product type.
  • Designed PLPs and PDPs around editorial-first photography — large-format imagery, generous whitespace, and reduced UI chrome on the product page.
  • Set up the catalog architecture so each brand has a dedicated landing rail with its own story and curated edit, instead of everything collapsing into a single brand-agnostic feed.
  • Implemented checkout extensibility for branded post-purchase flows fitting a luxury price point.

Key decisions

  • We treated brand identity inside the boutique as the primary navigation axis, not an afterthought. Multi-brand boutiques live or die on whether their designer labels feel respected on the shelf — the IA reflects that.
  • Editorial photography drove the layout decisions, not the other way around. We sized galleries and grids to the photography that already existed, rather than forcing the imagery into a generic theme grid.
