The brief
A vehicle wrap and automotive customisation business needed a storefront that bridged service selling and product selling. Most jobs are bespoke quotes, but the brand also sells DIY materials and accessories — the storefront had to handle both flows without forcing buyers through the wrong one.
What we did
- Built the storefront from scratch on Shopify with a custom theme that distinguishes custom-job paths from DIY-product paths up front.
- Custom-quote ordering flow: buyers can describe their vehicle, upload reference imagery, and receive a structured quote without an email back-and-forth.
- Portfolio galleries on collection and homepage layouts — wraps are sold visually, and the storefront is built to surface the brand’s strongest jobs as social proof on every page.
- DIY-product PDPs run on the standard Shopify ecom flow alongside the quote system, so DIY buyers can self-serve without entering the custom path.
Key decisions
- Two product types, two flows. We resisted the temptation to unify the custom-job and DIY-product experiences — they’re different buying decisions and the storefront treats them that way.
- Portfolio is the homepage’s job. Wrap buyers convert on what they see done, not on marketing copy.
Tech stack
Shopify, custom theme on Liquid, Klaviyo, custom quote-request flow, Shop Pay enabled for DIY products.
Outcome metrics added once client confirms in writing.
